Thank you for visiting the Children's Art Village ("CAV") website. We are so happy that you found us. I encourage you to stay a bit and see the things that our organization has done in the past as well as has in store for the future.
There are so many wonderful things occurring at the Children's Art Village. In May 2010 we will be traveling with a team of 7 artist teachers to Chennai, India to begin a sustainable art & music program at the Sevalaya Orphanage for 200 children. We will be joined by 6 Indian artists, musicians and dancers. Thank you
Saalai Manikem, Managing Founder of the Aadhi Arts Academy, for being such a strong
supporter of CAV's vision for the children in India. And thank you Michael Smith for being our most ardent supporter as head of our fund raising efforts!
In addition to our projects in India and Ghana we have also been invited to exhibit 45 pieces of our children's artwork at the AT & T Gallery of Children's Art, located at the Sheldon Concert Hall and Art Galleries in St. Louis, Missouri from February - May 2011. Annually, there are over 70,000 people who visit the Sheldon Concert Hall. We are thrilled and humbled to have been invited and given this opportunity!
Come back and visit our website from time to time to see our progress forward. One quote to leave you with, "You'll never stand so tall as the day you stoop to help a child." Join me and the Children's Art Village let us give children a way to express their true selves through experiencing art, music, and dancing. Thank you for your time.
Namaste,
Mai Q. Lai Founder & Executive Director
