Dear Friends and Visitors,

Happy New Year!  Thank you for visiting the Children's Art Village website.  We are so happy that you found us.  I encourage you to stay a bit and see the things that our organization has done in the past as well as has in store for the future.

It's currently raining and thunderstorming in Los Angeles as I write this note to you.  However, no storm can get in the way of our upcoming fundraising event in St. Louis, MO on Saturday, February 6th!!!!  Nor can any storm get in the way of our excitement of our upcoming project in Chennai, India in association with the Aadhi Arts Academy from May 24 - 29, 2010!!!!

There are so many wonderful things that the Children's Art Village has planned into the future and inclusive of our projects in India and Ghana we have also been invited to display 45 pieces of our children's artwork at the Sheldon Children's Gallery in St. Louis, MO.  Annually, there are 70,000+ people who visit the Sheldon Gallery and Symphony Hall.  We are thrilled and humbled to have been invited to display artwork from January 2011 - June 2011.

Thank you Saalai Manikem at Aadhi Arts Academy for being such a strong supporter of our vision for the children at the Sevalaya Orphanage in Chennai India.  And Thank you Michael Smith for being our most ardent supporter as head of our fund raising efforts!

One quote to leave you with, "You'll never stand so tall as the day you stoop to help a child."  Won't you join me and the Children's Art Village in enabling children a way to express their true selves through experiencing art, music, and dancing?  It is inspiriting, transformative, powerful and yet so simple to appreciate.

Namaste,

Mai Q. Lai
